since we completed the refurbishment of the Grand Hall. We are excited and
thrilled that such a prestigious local event is taking place at our hotel and
we are ready to help our guests in any way to make the experience as enjoyable
as possible.”
With all 90 twin rooms fully booked for the
event, it promises to be a busy weekend for the hotel. “We have taken on extra
staff for the event from parking attendants, cleaners, bar and restaurant staff
through to several new members of the event team, who will help us to manage
the evening as well as a security team who will make sure all our guests are
kept safe” said Kelli Spencer Lodge.
All guests will be welcomed by a glass of
champagne and canapés and a chance to have their photographs taken for
publication on the hotel and tribute band website and in the local press who
are covering the event.
With the event already proving to be a huge
success, further events of this nature are being planned for later in the year
and throughout 2014. Events Manager Michael Sletten commented “We are already
talking to several management companies about bringing other tribute bands to
the hotel and we have just made two provisional bookings to put on “Cher” and
“Fleetwood Mac” tribute shows. We are also exploring the possibility of putting
on a “Rocky Horror Picture Show” weekend next summer, so watch out for further
news on the website and in the Sentinel paper.”
